Music and playacting have always been in the Tyroleans' blood. Documented Passion plays date back to 1613. In recent times they
have been staged every six years - a great task that demands communal spirit and cooperation.
"Half of the village" is actively involved. |

Bold and visible from afar, the new playhouse - able to accommodate an audience of 1,600 - towers into the sky. Architecturally
it forms a link between mountains and flatland - a new symbol of the village. |

In the periods between plays it serves as a concert hall. Renowned orchestras, choirs, conductors and soloists appear here to
